White tigers are a colour morph of any subspecies of tiger,

whose fur is white or almost white,

though it is not a separate subspecies.

  3. Amazing creatures. I remember seeing one of these at the National Zoo in Washington DC when I was a child. My brother was fascinated by them and my parents bought him a stuffed white tiger, which he named Daniel, and carried around for years. These tigers are beautiful. Thanks for visiting me!
