Whenever we go to Elephant Bar at Hotel Le Royal here in Phnom Penh, I always crave for this chips, it is usually comes whenever you ordered drinks during the Happy Hour but it only cost $2…best with cocktails and mocktails…:)
I searched online on how it is being cooked and it’s so easy to make a taro chips, all you need is a 1pc. 12-ounce taro root (or any size), 1 tablespoon plus 1/2 teaspoon olive oil and coarse salt and you’re set!
Just follow these easy steps. Just preheat oven to 350 degrees then peel taro root and thinly slice into 1/16-inch-thick slices using a mandoline. Lightly brush two 12-by-17-inch baking sheets with olive oil and spread chips evenly onto each. Brush tops of chips with olive oil and bake until crisp, 14 to 16 minutes. Transfer chips to a paper towel to cool and sprinkle with salt. Best served with tomato salsa…
Let me know if you tried cooking it already, ha, I haven’t tried yet but hopefully I can do it soon…happy cooking!
P.S. Ate Mitos birthday today, she’s 46…we had cake for her and I cooked Filipino-style spaghetti, bought chicken, she made fruit salad…then we let her blew her birthday cake and we gave her something in small envelope that give her a good laugh, *its funny because if I am her, I might wish I am older!, lolz!*

Belated happy birthday to Mitos!
