It takes days after we was able to accept visitors in our house, not because we don’t like, we love it but its still in the stage of moving and settling in.
And now that we are ready, here’s our beloved friends who were able to make it into our simple abode…
Sinin and his family…one Sunday! K doesn’t want me to cook so we just ordered from Singapore Kitchen! We had Hainanese Chicken Rice, Laksa, Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodle and Char Kway Teow, then I made Banana Spring Rolls for afternoon snack. By the way, Sinin was Kent’s staff at work before and a good friend…and he helped us to get this house, acted as our real estate agent, *smile*
Next are my Pinay friends here in Phnom Penh—Josiet, Zarah and Ate Elma…and havin’ them around was so much fun…they bring foods such as Chicken-Pork Adobo, Meatballs, and Goulash. Darah also cooked Fish Amok(Khmer traditional food) while Yom (Thai friend/neighbor) made Shrimp Tom Yum! Its a feast…we had fun eating variety of foods plus the laughters shared was priceless…
Third was dear Charlie, he was a dear friend to Kent even before I came here, K see him as a father and we love him! Charlie was a tiger expert works around the world, hehehe, married to a great lady from Nepal named Margie (she’s lovely and I love her!) with wonderful kids…Charlie witnessed our love story, hahaha! I just cooked Chicken Lemon Asparagus with mashed potato and green peas for Kent and Charlie while I prepared Arroz a la Cubana for me and CJ…dessert that noon was my easy mixed fruit salad, *smile*
And last but not the least, its a family from Adelaide…they are Bronnie and Craig together with their kids! They are just visiting Phnom Penh for few days after a trip around Thailand and Cambodia then they will be back to the land down under, Australia! I just prepared Crab and Corn Sou p, Chicken Wings, Fish Amok (Darah prepared), White Italian Meatballs Spaghetti and ordered De Luxe Pizza with Sausage Bites from Pizza Company! Again, I cooked Banana Spring Rolls for afternoon snacks. Young at heart enjoyed the food, its a feasts as they say, while kids love it, also they enjoyed watching Toy Story 3 and did some glass art deco with CJ. Our kids was becoming more socials too, he is the one in-charge with the kids, he is responsible when it comes to that matter, I say! *smile*
Thanks everyone for the visit and for sharing good times with us…we love it!
Well, since we moved we become more socials…we cannot do like this in our old house because its soooo small. I am sure there would be more friends coming in as days go by and everyone is welcome! Can’t wait to see you in our little place…
