Last week, a friend of Kent and I brought me to the Open Wine Restaurant and last Thursday I brought a visiting friend there to have lunch and it was nice experience! The restaurant is inside the Gourmet’s complex of Open Wine, but can be easily access though the shop or by the restaurant gate plus it has a nice garden set-up with a large dining room with air conditioning, different shapes of tables in a charming decorated free space! A smart service associated to the concept of drinking wine on the room temperature with a french style cooking, that’s the best for the tasting quality.

So, we ate there because of their promo, basically but the food made me come back there and brought a visiting friend…they have weekly business lunch menu at $10 per set with a choice of starter, main dish and a dessert. They have 15 starter, cold or warm, 19 main dishes and 4 desserts. Menu are written in English and French…while the choice of ala carte offers starters from $7 then main dishes is from $12 by different red meats and choice of cheese, desserts. So, the business lunch promo is a steal…I think?

So, are you getting hungry already? Here’s what we order last Thursday!

First, they served us with two different bread and a butter.

Then the starter came and it was so delicious, I love it! *smile* I got warm starter (entrees chaudes) while my friend got a cold starter (entrees froider)…

For our main course, we got meats (les viandes)…we ordered same and we got Rumsteak with creamy Kampot pepper sauce and served with fries (Rumsteak, sauce au poivre de Kampot, servi avec frites)…my friend got Merlot Grand Sud red wine in a glass to complete the meal, I just got a Sprite!

And lastly, we got Chocolate Mouse (mouse au chocolat) for desserts (desert)…I love this one, makes me smile and I finished it so fast.

I wanted to take more picture of the place because its lovely and so simple but I got shy because there are other people who are also eating so, these are just a hiding shot with no flash so I won’t disturbed people around. They have attractive display of wine painting.

The place is really appealing for good eating and good time, its good for friends, business meeting or even lovers who would like to have some quiet lunch or dinner, also kids can come because they have swings in the garden!

It was a good experience to try, I love to bring Kent and the kids there someday…hope they also have that business lunch promo on weekends! *winks*

Well, its Saturday and I am off with some pampering…will be seeing Lui at the Bamboo Spa. CJ’s going with me, because my friend Lui and her daughter will be there and the kids are good playmates! Then we will have lunch after, it will be fun Saturday I am sure. Tomorrow, Kent will be home…we miss him so much and can’t wait to see him back! *smile*
