…and we are happy spending it at home! Yesterday was Isabelle’s second birthday and it was a great day to remember. Invited friends came and we really appreciate them coming. Thank you dear guests! Will be posting more about it next time…
Anyway, since Thursday its been holiday here…until tomorrow, CJ have no school too!
May 13, 14, 15 was a national holiday for HM King Norodom Sihamoni’s Birthday Celebration, he was born on May 14, 1953. While May 17 as a national holiday for the celebration of Visaka Bochea… its Buddhist observance commemorating the birth, enlightenment and passing of the Buddha.
Last Saturday, we attended a birthday party of our friend’s daughter. Emma turns 1 and such a cutie…they had the party at Raksmey Bayon Soup II Restaurant along Street 51 and its our first time there, one of the local restaurants here but its definitely a good food. They served french fries first, followed by chicken wings then a fried rice and of course, soup! Its very filling, its taste good too and staffs are nice although some can’t speak English but its ok, we did well!
We had this complete soup set…and photo: www.uniebiz.com.kh
Raksmey Bayon Soup II Restaurant offers a gourmet cuisine and sumptuous drinks to excite everyone’s palate and satisfy everybody’s appetite, they have Cambodian, Western and Asian dishes…vegetarian dishes and a full bar! We had the party at the roof top of the restaurant so we was able to watched the fireworks display for King’s birthday. Lucky!
I wish I had my camera then but it was just too heavy so I left it home, didn’t know that it will be worth bringing. Anyway, we had fun seeing familiar people, CJ enjoyed too because three of his schoolmates was there and he met new friends!
Tomorrow’s still holiday and we will do some grocery shopping…and some stuff! Happy Monday, everyone…wishing each one a great week!
