We are all excited for our boy, he will be attending school for the first time here in Phnom Penh, Cambodia…and its first day was last 8th of September. So, Daddy, Mommy, Isabelle and Ate all went to be with him on his first day!

We are all excited to see him mingling with other kids, these are not Filipino kids so its totally different for him. Kids are from different places…France, India, Thailand, Japan, U.S.A. and of course, most of the kids are from here, Cambodia. We enrolled him at Footprints School, for pre-school to primary school students, it is located at No. 220, St. 430, Tumnub Tek and that’s CJ campus!

According to them, “Our primary school is a child-centered learning environment, with the most up-to-date resources and facilities, including comprehensive and effective learning approaches, which are integral for fostering independent learning through discovery. Our curriculum is based on the latest guidelines of developmentally appropriate practices, providing young learners with opportunities to learn and practice newly acquired skills just above the level of their present mastery. In addition to this, our teachers receive continual training and development workshops throughout the course of each school year.”

We enrolled him in full-time English course, meaning he will be in school from 8:00am until 4:00pm everyday! Also, part of the course is the 45-minutes Khmer language class which is really good for him, I think he needs to learn the langauge since we are now living here. As far as I know, he also have swimming class every week, which really excites him! Well, we just hope CJ will love his new school and having new set of friends, classmates and schoolmates will be fun for him plus his teachers are all Australian that makes him more excited! *me too!*

Anyway, here’s CJ together with other kids as they do the assembly and getting ready to go up in their respective rooms…Daddy said, he saw CJ teary-eyed, maybe he is bit scared with the change of environment but we knew he will do better, he will survive day by day and do better or best in the end!

And after school, we all went again to see him (except Daddy)and then as a first day reward, we all went to Sovanna Shopping Mall and had ice cream at Svensen…see how happy my kids are! *smile*

Goodluck for you CJ and we hope you all the best! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you! We love you and we want to see you happy as always! *smile*
