In our three weeks here, we got few cards to save us some Baht as we go along or I am trying to get few discounts or looking on how we can get freebies if I go buy things…
Last 2009, I’ve got Expatriate M Card from Emporium Mall and its also valid for Paragon and The Mall. M Card entitles a discount as specified and can be used to accumulate points. Also, you can get 5% discount on regular price items in department store, Home Fresh Mart and Gourmet Market under specified terms and conditions, you can read more Here! Plus points can be accumulated.. from purchases at the department store, but not from the 2 markets mentioned above. Back then I also got The 1 Card for Expatriate and International Visitor with almost same benefits as M Card. But its valid to more stores such as Central Department Store, ZEN, Robinso Department Store, Power Buy, SuperSports, B2S and HomeWorks under terms and conditions provided that you can read more Here!
Another one I got then was a Spot card by Tops Super, Tops Daily, Tops Market and Central Food Hall…I am using this one lately for buying few grocery items such as milk, nappies, etc. I usually go to Tops Market because that’s the one near where we are right now…
I also saw a reusable shopping bags near the check-out counter, this time I bought Tops Reusable Shopping Bag and I find it cute. I am bringing it with me everyday now even if I am not going to Tops, very handy and its foldable.
So, I bought one…easy for me to carry specially walking along Sukhumvit Road…from Tops Market in Soi 19 to our little place. Plus additional Spot points if you’re using a reusable bag…that means more money back if I accumulated more points.
I also like the idea of reducing garbage of disposable plastics and paper bags by using reusable bags because those plastics creates huge amount in the landfill each day. So, from now on…I am bringing my own reusable bag.
Anyway, back to discount cards…I got few added as we go along, such as Star Card from Toys R Us and Mangpong Privilege card for DVDs.
I love discount cards and I love freebies…*smile*
How about you, do you like using discount cards and getting rewards from your shopping? Or are you also using reusable bags when you go shopping? Please let me know and share your stories with me.
And I am linking this post with Pink Fridays hosted by Mommy Rubz…
…and wishing everyone a blessed Sunday!

That is one cool reusable bag, Che. Dapat dito sa tin ipagbawal na rin ung paggamit ng plastic bags sa mga malls.
