Isabelle turns 2 last Sunday, May 15, 2011 and we had small party for her at home with a Princess Theme Party, that’s what I have n mind when thinking of how I will do her party. But I am not so sure if I was able to do that theme…(I am warning you, this is a long post.)

I printed a Happy Birthday banner which I got from The Mozzie’s Way of Life that you can download at her site, just go here. While the I-S-A-B-E-L-L-E banner was came from Ruffled blog but according to her Carolynn from Two Brunettes designed the free printable alphabet bunting, and all letters come in different patterns and colors including a heat spacer! To make them into a banner by simply printing it on paper, cutting it and threading a pink ribbon with the help of paper punch hole!

Then I gave each girl a little princess crown which I got from the local market here. While I printed a prince crown that I got from Free Printable, where I also got her Princess Invitation. I also made some magic wands for the girls from Free Printable but I just used their star and put a chopstick and ribbon instead, used glue stick to put them all together! Since I am loving Subway Art, I am lucky to found Peonies and Poppyseed site for their lovely birthday subway art.

I prepared a Dessert Table that have foods for babies, toddlers, young boys and girl and for those kids-at-heart (*smile*). I just put three of Isabelle’s favorite food, goldfish cheddar, fancy gems and fruit rings cereals in a jar. I also added the strawberry and blueberry pretzels that I put in a glass and some twisted pink and white marshmallows in a jar. Added strawberry flavor swiss roll and strawberry pudding on plate! got cupcakes and wrapped it with a princess crown cupcake wrapper from Food Art Party . I was also lucky to find small bottle drinks in pink, red and purple color (strawberry, lychee, grape) that I wrapped in Pinkalicious water label by Seven Thirty Three blog, as well as the water that I put some princess related print-outs from Family Shopping Bag. The two shades of pink at the back of water are the party give-away. And oh, that pink cake that I bake with a little surprise when you sliced it was made with love. (Will make different post about the cake.)

I also prepared a buffet table…I prepared 3 different pasta: Spaghetti Pinoy-style, Pesto and Alfredo. I did all the sauce and Ate boiled all the noodles. I also have some Pork springrolls that I made night before and fried in the morning. Finger foods such as crabstick, cheddar cheese and siopao. We also have cheeses (brie, blue and edam) and crackers, some baguette too! Made fruit salad, fudge brownies with oreo and almond chocolate! I also have some popcorns too!

Isabelle was pretty good that time inspite of the crowd, she managed to sing few songs and dance a bit…she was able to entertain our dear guests in her party and made them happy!

Plus a little magic that a friend did…Hayashi did the magic and our guests enjoyed it, except for Isabelle who cried a lot then after seeing her in her costume! I am sure she got scared, so Daddy and her went out…

Even blowing her own birthday cake she’s crying…we can’t get any nice pictures then!

And before I forgot, we got a castle puzzle that we assembled…its Cinderella!

We wasn’t able to take family picture and some of our pictures went missing into our camera, but at least this one at the bottom was still there, my little princess and prince.

This was taken the next morning…when I found out that some pictures are missing! :( By the way, I got some pink balloons and stick, crepe paper, ribbons and other stuff at the Orussey Market, local market here in Phnom Penh and it really saves a lot.

all-in-all, it was an afternoon of fun, laughter, tears and joy…Isabelle really enjoyed her party as well as the other kids, I guess! Adults enjoyed the food, wines and beers plus the sharing of different stories everyone did. Some met before, some didn’t but happy to see that our guests were the one approaching each other to introduced themselves…such great people we had then! So, I thanks everyone for coming and taking time to be with Isabelle, with us!

P.S. I wish we are celebrating it with my family and K’s family…it will be more great, I’m sure! And oh, they have little party for Isabelle too in Makati even if we are not there, will post about it next time! Thanks to my family and thanks to K’s family for sending some gifts, we truly appreciate it! :)
