Sounds interesting? Well, I am not a laksa eater, I actually tasted it before but it was just to spicy for me…but last Saturday, we decided to ordered from Singapore Kitchen for dinner and K wants laksa, it is his favorite then I just decided to try it…yes, being brave! hehehe!
Left and Right…same amount! hehehe!
Laksa, it is a popular spicy noodle from a Peranakan culture, which is a merger of a Chinese and Malay, elements found in Singapore and Malaysia, and to a lesser extent Indonesia. The one being served in Singapore Kitchen is a Curry laksa, it is a coconut curry soup with noodles, while asam laksa is a sour fish soup with noodles. Thick rice noodles also known as laksa noodles are most commonly used. The main ingredients for most versions of curry laksa include tofu puffs, fish sticks, shrimp and cockles. Some vendors may sell chicken laksa. Laksa is commonly served with a spoonful of sambal chilli paste and garnished with Vietnamese coriander. Laksa is famous in Singapore and Malaysia.
And the winner was…
Left was my bowl and right was K’s bowl…
So, I did well…yipee, and I like it, its delicious and I’ve been missing it all those times that we have that chance to eat laksa!
Together that night, we had Singapore Fried Rice, Hainanese Chicken and Black Carrot Cake which is also so spicy and I ate it too! Surprisingly…
Forgot to take picture of the rice but it’s CJ’s favorite…Isabelle’s enjoying it too! We had fun that night, K was really surprised…now, I am looking forward for my next laksa day! Linking with Weekend Eating and Yummy Sunday!
Have a great week, everyone!

me too, i don’t know how to cook hainanese, mas mura kasi kapag order lang kami sa singapore kitchen dito…hehehe! thank you!
Ganda ng ngiti natin dyan sis, mukhang masarap nga.. Ako pag spicy, bring it on, love spicy foods!
good on you…i’m still learning to eat spicy foods, i’m getting better each day! i finally survived with laksa so i think i’ll be fine with others! hehehe! thank you…hubby wanted me to have a picture with laksa kasi, hehehe!
I haven’t tried laksa pero mahilig ako sa spicy food kaya im sure magugustuhan ko to.
would love to try that! my youngest isn’t adventurous when it comes to food, so when we eat out usually it’s where his comfort foods are located: either Max’s (for the chicken) or Yellow Cab (pizza). lol. but we’re slowly introducing him to other foods out there…
thanks for visiting, and enjoy the rest of the week!
thanks! CJ was like that before…just eating those foods he is used with but now after living here for 11months, he like trying different kinds…nahahawa sa daddy! i’m sure your son will enjoy trying different kind of foods as he gets bigger!
