Its been long time that I have been itching to learned how to bake…I  would like to learn how to do it, I heard to some that it was addictive, lolz! Well, if baking or cooking was addictive then I would love to be addicted with it, *winks* Anyway, without further a do, our microwave oven with showerwave, fan oven and powergrill was first time being used in baking was when my Peluka Sisters went over to our house for our weekly meet-ups few weeks ago, we had WordPress tutorial by Lui and Zarah tried to baked a cake for us that time! It was yummy and I got hooked…but I don’t have baking pans to used, they said that tin pans are not allowed in the microwave, K even helped me looked for one in markets around but to no avail…I settled with maybe not this time or will just asks family back home in Phils. to send me some when we are going to ship box from there to here.

Until last Sunday afternoon, when we are cleaning our house and sorting stuffs that we need and don’t when I came across with two little books, guess what, its the instruction manual that comes with the recipe book…I was so happy and more happy to find out that I can use Zarah’s baking pan without worrying for arcing. *smile* From there on…I started reading and ended up baking at around 6pm…

Since I have Betty Crocker chocolate cake mix and chocolate frosting already  so I used it…its easy as 1-2-3! All you need is 1-pack of  super moist cake mix chocolate fudge with 1-1/3 cups of water, 1/2 cup of vegetable o, 3 eggs. Add chocolate frosting, chocolate multi-color rice and chocolate bits for its finishing touches.

First, heat the oven to 350F (176C), I used 250, why? I got wrong thought it was in Celcius so i used the maximum amount my oven have. I’m not reading, I am just excited! Lolz! Grease bottom and sides of the pans then beat cake mix, water, oil and eggs in large bowl. Pour into pan and bake…

I put the pan when the pre-heated process was completed to 250 and set the time to 30minutes…I started checking it when 20 minutes was done by inserting a toothpick in the center, first try was not that clean until it comes out really clean. Yehey, its done! I let it cool first before removing from pan then cool it completely before putting the forsting.

Done with the chocolate frosting…

…and the finished product after putting the chocolate multi-color rice, chocolate kisses bites and a spelled-out birthday candle.

We are now ready to blow Daddy’s birthday cake, my first bake and I am happy doing it.

Again, Happy Birthday Dad and we love you, hope you enjoyed your birthday there in Perth, we did here, we had some food that night that comes from Singapore Kitchen—laksa, hainanese chicken, oyster omelette, singaporean fried rice and a mee goreng—before we ate the cake…I can say its yummy and will do it again, I actually shopped for a cake mix and frosting already, hehehe! :)
