As I’ve always said, weekend is family time, either going-out or just having quiet time at home, just like yesterday and today! But few weekends ago, our family went to Sorya Mall—one of the shopping destination here in Phnom Penh and tried BBQ CHICKEN for the first time.
BBQ CHICKEN is a fried and grilled chicken restaurant originally from Korea, it is No. 1 franchise brand from Korea and the first franchise brand to be selected as Korea’s Top 50 Brands…having 1850 stores worldwide that started in September 1995.
We was welcome with a smile and directed as to the table, good service, but we actually chose different table because we want something that will suit to Isabelle, hehehe, means bigger space,we got a semi-circle table that’s big enough for us and we will not be disturbing other diners!
Anyway, the menu was done well, reminds me of the Pizza Company just next floor, its same and find out its just same company! There’s a lot of choices in their menu classified as sandwich and burgers, side orders, salad and soup, steak and fish, grill and barbeque specialty, olive specialty, coffee and tea, beverages and ice cream! Everything’s look yummy!
Luckily, they also have combo meal choices that’s good for different number of people. So, we got Combo III that costs $14.90, good for 4-5 person that have these following menu:
Caesar Salad ($2.50)
crisp lettuces, croutons with caesar dressing
Chicken Cutlet ($4.00)
tender chicken cutlet covered in batter and deep-fried in olive oil
Olive Luxury Chicken, 4 pcs.
3 pcs – $ 4.50 | 5 pcs – $ 7.40
marinated with their unique recipe and secret formula of 30 seasonings and deep-friend in olive oil
Korean Charbroiled, 3 pcs.
3 pcs – $ 4.65 | 5 pcs – $ 7.60
tender leg meat, marinated with 30 secret ingredients then roasted first on griller
a MUST try at BBQ Chicken!
And it comes with 3 plates of Olive Rice that cost $0.90 each.
So, getting a combo meal really saves us! Good that they have set meals…and that they are using 100% olive oil for all their meals which is healthy!
CJ also tried their Col-Pop Chicken, it a bite-sized chicken meat (like nuggets) and Coca-Cola drink in one cup, I can say it is very appealing to kids plus, Isabelle had her shared with chicken bites too…they enjoyed it!
And our lunch will not be complete without Daddy’s coffee…that will make his day, sure!
All-in-all it was a good lunch, good service and friendly staff…good food, healthy and tasty meal, will definitely coming back! I hope they always have combo meals, so we can afford it! Hehehe!
Hope you can find BBQ Chicken in your place, they have in Philippines, USA, China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Singapore, Spain, Turkey and Vietnam, now in Cambodia!

[...] Still something to do with Mother’s Day…I just cooked pancakes for breakfast and cooked pork in hoisin sauce with carrots for lunch but since we cannot go out all yet, Isabelle is still healing from her German measles, I just decided to go out to do some grocery shopping and buy food for dinner. So, we got some Mother’s Day treat, hehehe, I got Golden Strip Salad, Korean Charbroiled Chicken and Olive Rice from BBQ Chicken. [...]
