Last weekend, after having lunch…we went to Bei Otto—a German restaurant, together with a bakery, butchery and delicatessen located on Soi 20, Sukhumvit Road. And we bought slices of an Apple Pie for our dessert…

An apple pie is a fruit pie (or tart) in which the principal filling ingredient is apples. It is sometimes served with whipped cream or ice cream on top. Pastry is generally used top-and-bottom, making it a double-crust pie, the upper crust of which may be a disk shaped crust or a pastry lattice woven of strips; exceptions are deep-dish apple pie with a top crust only, and open-face Tarte Tatin.

And yes, its delicious…the family loves it. I think we can have it with cream or ice cream on the side and on topped, we had it plain but it never disappoint us!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

  1. We have lots of apple here from the Apple Picking and we don’t know what to do with it. :)

  2. My husband’s family is of German ancestry, and his grandmother taught him to make apple strudel–he is having a strudel fest in October for his family. He also makes grape, potato and cabbage flavors.
