A week before Easter, I’ve been looking online for possible inspiration for a budget friendly Easter party ideas because we will be just spending it at home and I’ve found this beautiful Easter table from Bird’s Party Blog…all chocolate sweet for my two guests—Carlos and Isabelle! *smile*
But unfortunately, I cannot avail her printables at Etsy, she only accept payment from Paypal and credit card which I don’t have.
Anyway, I went online again to search for some free printables and I’ve found a full set of it (lucky me!), party buntings, rabbit footprints, easter bunny message for the kids, subway art message, bunny egg holder, I also printed a rabbit cake topper from Bird’s Easter Party Table…and here’s our Easter Sweet Table:
I just used whatever things we have already but I bought an orange, yellow, and green ribbon plus the Japanese paper from local bookstore and stationary shop here in Penh plus the pink table napkin that also serves as placemat. Then check our pantry for foods that I have, lucky I don’t need to buy everything, I just bought doughnuts (Lucky Supermarket), cupcake (from Pencil, Helen’s Bakery), rainbow swirl candy and Hershey’s chocolates (all from Bayon), popcorn (from Paragon) and the egg chocolate and dark chocolate cookies (from Thai Huot)…K and I did all the shopping for these sweets!
With the cake, I used Betty Crocker Carrot Cake and vanilla frosting topped with Smarties which we already have…I was about to used KitKat to surround the cake but I forgot to buy, instead I just used a spring paper that I also printed then tied it with a small bunting’s of E-A-S-T-E-R…
Credits to the following kind blogger who shared FREE printables online…
Big thanks to Amanda Parker of Shindig Parties TO GO for a FULL COLLECTION of Easter printables designed to benefit Operation Shower…that includes cupcake cover and topper, water and juice label, rabbit and cross cut-outs, candy bar cover, napkin wraps, blank tent cards, signage and favor tags.

Easter Bunny Footprints will make Easter morning even more exciting for the kids, they will know that Easter Bunny has been when they see these footprints and can follow them to find their treats…by Activity Village, UK
And lastly, the small rectangular favor box that I forgot to list the site where I got it…:(
By the way, I printed all the printables at one of the photo studio along Sihanouk…and I loved them!
The kids woke up reading the message posted on their door, well CJ did, Isabelle did not but she saw it because I put their picture in each message then walking out of the room, they both enjoyed the bunny footprints…Isabelle loves it, keep going up and down the stairs by just following the footrpints! hehehe!
Then they saw my sweet table for Easter…we had some pictures and ate those sweets, we all love chocolates. I also bought them bunny ears at local bookstore here. Daddy also explained to CJ what’s Easter is.
After eating and taking a bath, we started the Easter Egg Hunt…I kept Isabelle’s egg to those places she’s frequent like in her chair, in her dvd’s, at the mirror area, at the toilet, under the kitchen table and inside those cabinets that she always open. While I kept CJ to bit more hard, well, he’s bigger…but still to some of his interest like at the back of guitar, inside the microwave over, in his chair, etc. Isabelle finished first, we helped though but CJ did well…they both get equal numbers of eggs, I really did that way—both 3 chocolate eggs and some boiled eggs that we painted.
Then we had lunch and we ate eggs…sweet and sour eggs, I actually didn’t prepared anymore for lunch since everyone’s full eating those sweets already! LOL.
Then by 3pm we left the house to another fun Easter Day at Cambodiana organized by ABAC. (will post it separately)
Anyway, all these preparations are worth it…I did most of the cutting because I am keeping it for the kids not to see, I only asks help Saturday night but of course Ate need to rest, so I was awake until 2am because that night I also baked the carrot cake, because I waited until CJ sleep. Daddy was with me all those times…but he is watching a movie. Then I woke up 6am to put foods in the table…CJ wake up 7am while Isabelle wake up at 8am…
All-in-all, we had fun Easter morning at home…I love to do it again, next year, maybe I will have more eggs and this Easter family party was really a budget friendly…*smile*
So, how was your Easter? Hope it was great as ours…*smile*

Wow! You’re amazing! The kids and hubby so lucky they have you. You really went all the way to celebrate Easter. A lot of people can’t do that, me included! Congrats sis, it seems your effort paved off, the kids and hubby looks so happy celebrating.
That’s very creative of you. And you really went all the way with your celebration. I am too tired to do all that. Or maybe just too lazy. LOL!
