After the egg painting last Easter, we snack in some sweet goodies—this is actually no cooking at all—that I prepared…

Easter Sweet Table 2012

I know I can do better than this one but with our schedule before Easter I was not able to prepare well…a week before Easter, K went to do field work and I flew to Phnom Penh to get a visa stamped. So, both tired but I am still happy that we had some and kids enjoyed everything we prepared for them.

Easter Sweet Table 2011

Just sharing our Easter Sweet Table last year, its better…yeah, I know! I thought I can do better than that but with events going around, I can’t.

Anyway, here’s what we got in our sweet table this year…

Bunnies and Egg in a Nest Bread…

Oreo and TimTam…

White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies and Donut from Mister Donut…

Orange Juice…

assorted goodies…

Japanese Custard Cake…

Cookies with Hershey’s Chocolate Bar…

Banana Cupcake…

Lastly, I baked a cake and its a disaster, huh, something wrong but kids and K said its delicious…and that’s enough to make me smile. Its a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting then I just added a nest-shaped meringue with Jelly Beans on topped.

And here we are having a good laugh while eating some snacks…

kids with Daddy…

kids with Mommy…

the two kids having fun with bunny ears and bows!

Easter Bible Verse…

Last but not the least, those beautiful Easter Printables that I used is from Bird’s Party…I got it last year after Easter when she put those set on sale. Its lovely but I wasn’t able to give justice with her work, I will definitely used it again and I hope I can do better! But big thanks to those talented individuals like her because it adds color and life to the party! Also, the Easter Bible Verse Subway Art is from Agape Love Designs and Photography, so big thanks to her for sharing beautiful subway art.

Have a great day, everyone!

K said its Neapolitan Ice Cream because it is made up of blocks of 3 different flavours side by side in the same container. More common flavours during the time it was introduced was chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry…but there are variety of flavours these days!

Anyway, I always have a tub of ice cream in our fridge, any day and time but since we will be having some friends kids coming, I add some more and choose 3-in-1 ice cream for kids have more choices.

I got raspberry, banana and blueberry…but looking at the colours, I thought its strawberry, vanilla or mango, and ube (yam), hehehe, I am wrong!

I also got in the 3 different chocolate flavours…

Well, kids enjoyed having some…there are still some left-over and we’re finishing it slowly! It was a great weekend, Songkran Festival is almost over. K will be back to work on Tuesday while CJ’s will be back on Wednesday…start of Term 3 in Year 3. Hope you had a good weekend also.

…from Beard Papa, I’ve been seeing this store around but I never had the chance to tried it until today when I was looking for something to bring for the kids.

I got two of their product for take-away, I got their Eclair and Blueberry Cheese Cream Puff…

Beard Papa’s (ビアード・パパ) is an international chain of cream puff stores started in Japan by the company Mugino Co., Ltd. (株式会社麦の穂).They have hundreds of stores in Japan and wordlwide. They are famous with choux pastry shell filled with whipped cream custard available in vanilla, chocolate and specialty flavors.

Well, kids love it. Infact, I was not even able to take picture of the eclair. But yes, they like the taste and I am sure I will be buying it again, it will be one of the request next time I will be going to the supermarket!

Have a great Friday, everyone! :)

I am enjoying Thai desserts because it is somehow same with Philippine desserts, made of combination of rice, coconut milk and sugar…and usually very sweet but can adjust it up to the one who’s making it!

For now, I will be sharing something that we got at the fifth floor of Emporium Mall…Jelly with Coconut Cream Topping. A popular and simple Thai jelly topping with coconut cream and can be adjusted into various tastes and colors such as Pandanus leaf-scented, Fruit or Coffee Jelly.

Do you think its delicious? Yes, it is delicious…I actually ate it all, my kids then was just too busy playing at the park but of course, they still have some snacks that I bought when they are done! I am not that bad, hehehe!

Well, as I searched online on how they made it, I found this good recipe from ThaifoodDB, quite similar…

Thai Recipe Ingredients

1. 1 pack (50 grams.) agar-agar Powder

2. 16 cups water

3. 9 cups sugar

4. 1/4 cup concentrate pandanus leaves

5. 2 kg. (to make 5 cups coconut cream) grated coconut meat

6. 1 tbsp. salt

7. 20 pandanus leaves

8. 1 tbsp. rice flour

Thai Sweet Preparations

1. Mix agar-agar and water. Bring to boil until the agar-agar dissolves. Add sugar and 10 pandanus leaves. Boil for another 5 minutes. Strain and set aside.

2. Mix 8 cups of the mixture in step.1 with the topping. Bring to boil. Set aside.

3. Boil the rest of the mixture. Add pandanus-leaf water. Pour into the dried tray (about 3/4 of the tray.)

4. Leave to cool Topping

For topping

1. Mix coconut cream, salt, and rice flour together.

2. Add 8 cups of the prepared jelly mixture (in step 1 for making jelly). Add 10 pandanus leaves. Bring to boil.

3. Pour the topping onto the jelly in the tray. Leave to cool for about 2 hours, then cut into pieces.
