Christmas Day was just at home…after the gift opening, our foods arrived! Kent thought of giving me a break with cooking, so we just ordered from Aussie XL, an Australian Restaurant here in Phnom Penh and they are serving lunch set for Christmas. yipee!

Well, I tried to arrange our table…wanted to have a feel of Christmas tablescape, so here it is…I used our christmas balls as our centerpiece and candles.

Well, I think it was a feast…we got ham, roast lamb, turkey with all its trimmings, sweet potato wedges, veggies and pudding plus a bottle of Champagne!

So, how was your food last Christmas?! I hope you enjoyed it. Tomorrow will be New Years Eve, let me greet you a Happy New Year and may we all have a wonderful year ahead! Cheers to 2011…

Christmas Day, its a time of giving…and receiving, hehehe! I put christmas socks in each room so Santa Claus will know where he can put gifts for each kids…and kids are excited about it. I and Kent woke up late, its still early but CJ and Adele woke up earlier than us and when we went down, they are already so happy with what Santa Claus gave them…enough for us to be happy! :)

Isabelle, still hanging in the door!

CJ—only this left, its everywhere already!

Adele’s happy with what she got!

Well, we get ready and started the gift giving, we have  a lot of gifts under our tree, from each and everyone, from friends, and from family.

Well, hope you get some gifts last Christmas and enjoying it…I am happy to get purse, books, cookie cutter, bracelet, vase, bath towel, and necklace! CJ was happy to get lots of toys, clothes, art things and chocolates that makes his day great. Isabelle was the same, she’s loving her dolls, accessories, clothes and tiny bit of things…what a girl she is! Adele feel good getting books, accessories, clothes and things, I am sure she’s enjoying it now! Kent was happy to get some stuffs also…

Anyway, it was fun night, we even went to Chayyam Restaurant to watched Apsara Dance and to have another round of drinks also see K’s dear friend Charlie…

Back home, I wanted all of us to wait for midnight but everyone was falling sleep one by one, maybe tired also, so its only me and Ate ended up awake for 12 midnight…thanks Mumsified for bibingka and puto cheese.

Well, maybe just different for us when it comes to celebrating Christmas…in Philippines we are waiting for Noche Buena, wherein all the family’s awake and enjoying a feast of food while in Australia they might have no Noche Buena but they have Christmas Dinner so there you go, that’s what we did…anyway, it was fun night, great night to be with family! I am happy I am spending another Yuletide Season with each of them…

P.S. I missed my family back in Philippines but I know they are happy for me seeing my family happy! I love you all…

…with friends!

Last December 23, a dear friend Mumsified hosted a Christmas Party in their house since all of us, Peluka Sisters, will not be going anywhere…so we had a party together with our partners and kids.

Our three kids before going to the party…

Foods from all of us…Sweets baked by our dear host and a beautiful centerpiece she made—I love it!

“Peluka” Sisters…cheers for another great year of friendship.

Our beautiful kids…who got so busy and noisy during the gift giving time! They enjoyed each gift they got! :)

Our dearest partners…who enjoyed wine and beers, music and quiz bee!

The Group…*smile*

We bid goodbye with each other around midnight and it was so much fun…great host, great food and great company! It was good to have friends like them, I am sure life here in Phnom Penh will be boring without them. I am lucky, good family and good friends…thanks God for all of them!

Thanks Josiet for hosting, until next time…thanks everyone also for making it as memorable as it should be! Until our next Christmas…together!

May your holiday season be blessed with the true meaning of Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone! Cheers!

…wait is over, finally Adele’s now here with us, she will be spending part of her school holiday with us! I am excited to meet her for the first time as well as my kids, Kent’s is so excited too. Happy that she is now here…

Looking forward for great holidays with her…to Adele, welcome home! *hugs*

P.S. I am also looking forward for our Christmas Party tonight, it will be hosted by a good friend Mumsified…I will be bringing some kebabs and fried spring rolls! I am sure it will be so much fun!

My tenth entry and as usual, I am late again…its been busy lately, my Peluka Sister and I joined the Christmas Village Bazaar from last Tuesday until last Saturday plus I am bit busy at home, Christmas is few days away and our daughter who’s based in Adelaide is coming in Penh for one month.

Anyway, my entry for today is one of the delivery foods we got from Singapore Kitchen…that time I was craving for crabs and shrimps so we got it…its yummy and its bit spicy but we love it!

Black Pepper Crab

Stir Fried shrimp with Butter

Until next time…let me greet you fellow food tripper a Merry Christmas, hope we all have a good one! Cheers…

Today, we attended CJ’s Christmas Program in school…I am excited, this is his first time and I am happy for him…

The program was started by singing the country’s national anthem which CJ is not part of it, I understand why! *winks* Then followed by the school director’s message…

His class did a dinosaur story with a bit of dancing, they are just like playing but its informational. Proud of CJ, and yes, he got something, this term the school’s giving away award for those student who have no absent in their class and CJ got it! yipee!

Ayway, here are some snapshot of class who performed from pre-school class to primary class…:)

Kuya CJ’s special guests…

The program went well and I am happy to have been there…kids are so cute to watched! Isabelle enjoyed it as well, even gave applause after every performance! I am looking forward for next school activity…

Job well done Kuya…we are proud of you! You’re growing well…*smile*

Last December 3, 4, and 5 when it was first run and it was a success, how I was able to said so? Because was able to talked with some seller and they said they had good sales and one of the staff said they estimated a total of 3,000 shoppers came. Sounds great, isn’t it!? So now, it is extended, starting last Monday until the 23rd, open from 4pm to 8pm but starting  tomorrow some shop will be open as early as 10am…with same rental rates!

Well, last Monday Mumsified and I went there to just look for one shop she like but unfortunately it was not open, different opening hours than the first one…sad, isn’t it?! But hey, it wasn’t all sad because we was able to asks if they have remaining booth and they said yes, without thinking that much, she decided to get it and started selling last Tuesday…

So, here’s our booth…we are basically selling handmade items, crafted with love and care. :) We have assorted accessories from head to toe, various crochet products made by Zarah and Lui, and jewelries by Josiet

Well, I am hoping to see you there, sales are not as good as what they were saying on those 3 days but we are hoping that this Friday and Saturday we will do good…our booth will be until 18th only because we are all busy mums and wives…and Christmas is coming very very soon. Have you bought gifts already? If not, then head down to Le Dou Restaurant in Street 228 near SOS International Clinic for some retail therapy or Christmas shopping…

See you there…*smile*

I am late here so I was just thinking of something easy…these two are cooked not by me, nor not ordered in restaurants around here but it was cooked by our Cambodian cook Darah. I am sharing with you…Fish Amok and Beek Loklak…

Fish Amok is a Cambodian dish of curried monkfish or codfish gently seasoned with coconut milk, turmeric, paprika, ginger, garlic, chili and fish sauce. The pale yellow curried fish sits prettily in a lettuce leaf.

Beef Loklak is another Cambodian dishes, it is usually served in restaurants around the country but taste varied depending on the cook but i is basically marinated pork or beef slices served with locally grown spicy green peppercorn, with us, Darah usually served it with homemade french fries, beans and egg on top…goes well with rice!

With the two, I like fish amok better…*smile*

By the way, I am linking this post to Food Trip Friday…until next time! Have a fruitful week…few days to go and its Christmas time! Are you ready with your Christmas menu? *smile* Share it with me and lets eat together…Merry christmas!
